Nicole B. Hagg has performed most jobs short of smelting copper. A lawyer in her former life, she is a full-time freelance writer, storyteller, evolving ukulele player, distance runner, yoga teacher, incorrigible explorer, and shameless Francophile.
She only legally took her “married” name post-divorce (explain THAT to the lady at the DMV) and runs 26.2 miles on her days off for fun. Nicole is an amateur triathlete who is viscerally afraid of open-water swimming, and a hopeless romantic who works every day to live her openhearted truth. She aspires to be the world’s first and leggiest 5’2” Rockette.

Ms. Hagg’s work is most recently published with Lonely Planet in Women Travel Solo (chosen by Oprah as #1 for travel inspiration), American Chess Magazine, Suspect Press, Elephant Journal, and Rebelle Society. Her essay work was chosen for the national production “Listen to Your Mother,” and featured in “The Forum Stories, Process.” Speaking engagements include The Mizel Theater, McNichols Building, and Civic Center Park in Denver, as well as Justice Snow’s Salon in Aspen, Colorado.
Nicole resides in Cambridge, MA, in a 116-year-old castle where she lives out the modern fairytale she writes and reigns as Queen (in her own mind). To date, she’s raised two endlessly funny humans, six chickens, two cats, and an appropriate amount of trouble.
She is presently editing her debut novel, “Great Love Stories Include a Frenchman.”
Dream big, friends.
